CITIZENS are being cautioned against pulling out their cellphones when interacting with members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, as the act may be interpreted as a threat to officers.
This advice was given by Director of Policy and Community and Support at the Ministry of Homeland Security and attorney Zaheer Ali on yesterday’s TV6 Morning Edition programme.
His comments were in response to a call made by High Court Justice Frank Seepersad during a ruling on Monday, where he urged citizens to use their cellphones to record their interactions with officers of the TTPS.
