Police have launched a homicide investigation following the fatal shooting of 53-year-old mechanical engineer Raidal Persad in Carlsen Field on Tuesday evening.

According to police reports, around 5:45 p.m. on officers attached to the Freeport Police Station received an anonymous call about a man shot inside a vehicle along Pipecon Road, Carlsen Field.

When first responders arrived at 6:09 p.m., they found an Audi, a man slumped over the driver’s seat. Persad, of Tigress Road, Riverview Park, Montrose, was dressed in jersey and three-quarter pants.
