Op­po­si­tion Leader Pen­ne­lope Beck­les had asked act­ing Pres­i­dent Wade Mark to “aban­don any ap­point­ment of a sub­stan­tive Chief Jus­tice at this time,” and in­stead re­vert to ap­point­ing an act­ing Chief Jus­tice be­fore the swear­ing-in of Jus­tice Ron­nie Boodoos­ingh yes­ter­day.
