TUESDAY’S Appeal Court ruling which has upheld the illegality of this country’s buggery laws is not a victory for anyone.
Instead, it is a devasting blow to human rights, equality, and dignity of all law-abiding, tax-paying citizens in our nation, said Pride TT.
In a media release issued yesterday, the group stated that by the court failing to strike down the colonial-era law, it has now “entrenched legalized discrimination, reinforcing deep-seated prejudice, hatred, and stigma against LGBTQ+ citizens.”
