Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she is ready for “round two” of attempts to attack her by calling her a “stinking coolie”, when this year’s Independence Day celebrations take place on August 31.
Over the weekend, hecklers booed Minister of Culture and Community Development Michelle Benjamin during African Emancipation Day celebrations in Port of Spain.
The Prime Minister came to her defence and accused the Opposition People’s National Movement (PNM) of being responsible for the incident.
