A craving for traditional marijuana farmers to be included in the regulated industry locally has prompted the Cannabis Licensing Authority (CLA) to relax and reduce some entry requirements, including the cost of registration, for easier access to the system.

The registration fee for ganja farmers, which was US$3,000, has been slashed to US$150 under a Cultivator’s Transitional Special Permit Programme introduced by the CLA.

This provides a phased pathway for traditional cannabis farmers to transition into the regulated industry while working toward full licensing compliance.
