(Kaieteur News) – Three days after his badly decomposed remains were discovered, six-year-old Orlando Jaikarran of Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice, was laid to rest on Friday.
The funeral was held at the Bath Settlement Community Ground, where Orlando’s mother, siblings, grandparents, schoolmates, regional officials and members of the community gathered to bid farewell to the young boy whose brutal death has left the nation in mourning.
The moving ceremony featured heartfelt tributes from representatives of Bath Primary School, regional officials and members of the community, all reflecting on the life and promise of a child whose future was tragically cut short.
