In a demon­stra­tion of uni­ty and sup­port, the TCL Group, in co­or­di­na­tion with its Ja­maican sub­sidiary Caribbean Ce­ment Com­pa­ny Lim­it­ed (Carib Ce­ment) and par­ent com­pa­ny Ce­mex, has launched a glob­al fundrais­ing ini­tia­tive, “To­geth­er for Ja­maica,” to as­sist the coun­try’s re­cov­ery ef­forts.

The cam­paign, which be­gan on Oc­to­ber 29, al­lows Ce­mex’s world­wide net­work of em­ploy­ees, cus­tomers, busi­ness part­ners, and oth­er stake­hold­ers to con­tribute over a two-week pe­ri­od. All con­tri­bu­tions will be matched by the com­pa­ny, with the com­bined pro­ceeds do­nat­ed to Food for the Poor, Ja­maica’s largest char­i­ty or­gan­i­sa­tion, to sup­port re­lief and re­build­ing ac­tiv­i­ties.

Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of the TCL Group Fran­cis­co Aguil­era said that as a key play­er in the re­gion’s con­struc­tion sec­tor, the com­pa­ny recog­nis­es the im­por­tance of pro­vid­ing tan­gi­ble sup­port to help re­build com­mu­ni­ties, es­pe­cial­ly in times of great need.
