A 75-YEAR-OLD pensioner was bound, gagged and killed on her bed yesterday morning.

Relatives believe the elderly woman was suffocated as robbers plundered the home she shared with her daughter and son-in-law.

Hassanali Trace South Barrackpore resident Tara Bridgemohan was found lying face down in the bedroom of her upstairs apartment, her hands and feet restrained by tie straps while her head was wrapped with a red piece of cloth. Her daughter, Mala Samaroo, told the Express yesterday that part of the cloth had been partially stuffed into her mother's mouth when she was found.
