Kidnapping survivor Jankie Satie Karim personally expressed her gratitude to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) for her safe rescue in a meeting with Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro.
Karim presented a token of appreciation and extended thanks on behalf of her family.
The rescue followed a series of coordinated police operations that resulted in the deaths of two men linked to Karim’s kidnapping. The second suspect, 24-year-old Zechariah Williams of Red Hill, D’Abadie, was shot during a police operation at his residence after allegedly pointing a firearm at officers. He was pronounced dead at the Arima General Hospital.
