Two months after her rescue from an abandoned beach house in Rampanalgas, Toco, kidnap victim Jankie Karim has publicly thanked the T&T Police Service (TTPS) for their efforts in ensuring her safe recovery.
During a meeting with Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro yesterday, the mother of one presented him with an engraved glass plaque, expressing her gratitude for the officers’ dedication to her case.
Karim, of Bassie Street Extension, Spring Village, Valsayn, spent eight days at the mercy of her kidnappers before several specialist units, acting on information, stormed a house along the Toco Main Road and rescued her. One of the kidnappers was killed during the operation.
