JUST two days after the state of emergency was declared on July 18—and ten high-risk prisoners relocated to Teteron Barracks and Staubles Bay, Chaguaramas—a Defence Force soldier opened fire on a Coast Guard vessel patrolling Teteron Bay.

The Coast Guard vessel was part of beefed-up security mea­sures for the detainees.

According to information obtained by the Sunday Express from multiple intelligence sour­ces familiar with the incident, the shooting took place on July 20, approximately 7.48 p.m.
