The Port-of-Spain City Corporation staged its annual City Day Parade yesterday, as part of celebrations marking the city’s 112th anniversary.
The parade began with an official inspection at the Queen’s Park Savannah, in front of the Grand Stand, before participants proceeded along a designated route through Port-of-Spain.
A key feature of the event was the Mayoral Salute opposite City Hall on Knox Street, where Mayor Chinua Alleyne received the official salute from the marching detachments. Participants performed an “Eyes Right” as they passed the ceremonial point.
