THE refusal of a woman to testify against a man who allegedly raped her when she was a teenager has led to him being found not guilty of the crime.
On Monday a nine-member jury was empanelled by Justice Gail Gonzales, and on Tuesday, evidence was heard from the officer who laid the charge.
However, when it was time for the woman to testify yesterday, she was not present, and prosecutors indicated to the judge that she wished to no longer pursue the matter.
