(Kaieteur News) – Guyana has an oil reserve of about 11.6B barrels according to estimates provided by the Government of Guyana (GoG). In just over six years since production activities commenced in December 2019, ExxonMobil, the operator of the Stabroek Block has already produced a staggering one billion barrels of those resources.
This was revealed by President of ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL), Alistair Routledge during the launch of the 2027 Guyana Energy Conference on Tuesday.
During remarks, the principal sponsor of the event shared remarks, guided by the conference’s theme ‘Beyond frontiers, Guyana’s Energy story’.
