(Kaieteur News) – The tragic death of a well-known young cricketer has left many along the West Coast of Berbice in deep mourning.
Ayinde Rogers, age 21, of Lo 177 ‘B’, No.22 Village (Bel Air), WCB, succumbed to critical injuries he sustained after he reportedly crashed motorcar # PWW 2900 into a tractor that was parked along the No. 28 Public Road, Corentyne around 12:05am on Monday.
Based on preliminary investigations, Rogers was headed west along the No. 28 Public Road allegedly at a fast rate when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with the front portion of the stationary motor tractor, which was parked on the northern parapet facing east. As a result of the impact, the motor car toppled on the northern parapet.
