Homicide detectives are awaiting instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on potential charges against a woman and four men suspected of murdering 60-year-old Cunupia businessman Imraz Ali.
Ali, reported missing on September 4, was last seen leaving a shop in Freeport, driving a black Nissan X-Trail. His decomposing body was discovered over a month later, on October 10, wrapped in plastic and dumped down a precipice off the North Coast Road near the pillars.
Five people have since been arrested in connection with Ali’s murder and remained in custody as of yesterday evening. Police confirmed that a file containing evidence and witness statements has already been compiled and submitted to the DPP for review.
