EVEN as Trinidad and Tobago braces for a drier than usual wet season, communities in South and Central Trinidad could still face an increased risk of flooding.
So said acting chief meteorologist Kaidar Kissoon yesterday during the 2026 Wet Season National Climate Outlook Forum at the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority, Caroni North Bank Road, Piarco.
Kissoon warned that flood risks remain, particularly in several communities across southern districts where rainfall patterns and local conditions continue to pose hazards despite below normal rainfall over much of the season.
