(Kaieteur News) – A driver who reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel escaped with minor injuries on Wednesday morning after crashing into a parked truck along the Linden-Soesdyke Highway.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) did not provide extensive details on the incident. However, the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) told Kaieteur News that there were no serious injuries and classified the crash as a minor incident that did not warrant a detailed report.
According to the CCU, information about the accident was released to alert motorists travelling along the roadway about possible traffic disruptions.
