A MAJOR raid at the Maximum Security Prison (MSP) in Arouca on November 25, led to the discovery of a massive stash of contraband items hidden in the air vents of the prisons, which police crawled through as part of the raid.
The search, conducted between 5.30 pm and 9 pm, was part of an intelligence-driven initiative involving several key units from the TTPS and Prisons Service.
The operation was co-ordinated by Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro, acting Commissioner of Prisons Hayden Forde, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Suzette Martin and senior police officers Raymond Thom, Maynard-Wilson and Gift.
