(Kaieteur News) – Guyana Amazon Warriors had their fairy-tale, unbeaten run this season come to an abrupt end, after the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons put on an all-round clinic last night to hand the home team their first defeat all tournament; by a massive 65-run deficit as part of last night’s encounter at Providence.
Warriors, who were bowled out for the first time all tourney, won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Falcons, who would go onto post a formidable 182-5 in their 20 overs; which was enough to hand Guyana their first loss.
Hassan Nawaz anchored the Falcons top-order with a steady 36 off 27 balls, while Man of the match, Pakistani Shadab Khan, provided an explosive finish, smashing p30 from 9 balls (2Ă—4 3Ă—6) striking at 333.33.
