(Kaieteur News) – Guyana Amazon Warriors signed off their run at home with a huge bang after handing long-time rivals Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) a 6 wicket defeat last night in their final match at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence; finishing with just one loss from their five games played at Warrior Nations’ fortress.
It was another brilliant spell from the newest Warrior, Mehidy Hasan Miraz backed by local star Shamar Joseph, who effectively dismantled the Trinbago Knight Riders’ line-up, limiting them to a modest total of 126-8 in 20 overs.
At the densely populated Warriors Fortress known as Providence, the Guyana Amazon Warriors validated their decision to bowl first by delivering a precise and strategic spin-and-pace bowling performance that left the opposition seeking solutions.
