Kaieteur Sports – Guyana’s swimming sensation Raekwon Noel has done it again, capturing his third gold medal at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games after another thrilling and fiercely contested performance.
In a strategic move, Noel opted to withdraw from the 100m Backstroke, following his earlier gold medal performances, to recover and conserve his energy for the Men’s 200m Freestyle. The decision proved to be a masterstroke as he returned to the pool refreshed, focused, and ready to deliver when it mattered most.
Facing a world-class field of competitors, Noel displayed remarkable composure, tactical brilliance, and championship grit to power his way to yet another gold medal, further cementing his place among the Caribbean’s elite swimmers.
