Today we hear from student Florence as she shares the story of her journey with ALTA and how it has transformed her life.
More than four months ago, I decided that I wanted to join an ALTA class. After hearing my good friend Deanne talk about this ALTA class, it sounded interesting because I love to read but spelling and pronouncing big words is somewhat of a challenge for me. The description she gave of ALTA suited me just right. The class is free and I didn’t need any more encouragement, so on that today I signed up and was accepted.
That first day I felt anxious, as the time drew nearer for my first ALTA class to begin. I was very excited to be participating in an online class for the very first time in my life. I was curious to meet the tutors and other students. I am thankful there is no fee to pay for this class. I don’t have to sit in a noisy classroom, and the information I received in ALTA class is designed to help persons who have problems with their reading, spelling and writing.
