A 75-year-old retired medical practitioner was robbed and assaulted on Friday evening in an attack near the intersection of Eggleton Road and Long Circular Road.
The doctor, of Jasper Avenue, Diamond Vale, had just parked his white and orange Nissan Patrol around 6p.m. when he was confronted by two unmasked men.
According to police reports, one of the attackers brandished a cutlass and held it to the doctor's face before slashing the front pocket of his trousers and taking $5,000 cash. A second suspect assisted in the assault.
