Po­lice be­lieve a man, who passers­by thought was sleep­ing in his car, was beat­en, stabbed and left for dead in his ve­hi­cle.

Of­fi­cers iden­ti­fied the man as By­ron Ma­haraj, 53, of La Soli­ta Road, Kel­ly Vil­lage, Ca­roni. He was found seat­ed in his car, with sev­er­al stab wounds about the body.

Po­lice said the vic­tim was found by peo­ple who went to check on him af­ter they ob­served the car had been parked along the road near Mam­bo’s Bar, South Bank Road, Kel­ly Vil­lage, Ca­roni.
