JPL enters ‘new era’ with National Stadium deal for Sunday/ Monday night games

KINGSTON, Jamaica  — The Jamaica Premier League (JPL) is set to usher in a new era of match presentation and commercial growth after the  signing of a landmark partnership between Professional Football Jamaica Limited (PFJL) and Independence Park Limited (IPL), operators of the National Stadium.

PFJL CEO Owen Hill told Observer Online that the agreement  will allow the JPL to stage key matches at the National Stadium on Sunday or Monday nights— a central pillar of the league’s ambitious “JPL 2.0” strategy.

Hill says the deal  provides greater access to quality playing surfaces and creates a more attractive product for players, fans, broadcasters and sponsors.
