THE Government proposes to introduce a Judiciary Chancellor who will oversee the day-to-day logistics and running of the courts, says Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
She made the announcement at a United National Congress (UNC) public meeting at the Penal Secondary School last night.
Persad-Bissessar said Attorney General John Jeremie, SC, had instructed the Law Reform Commission to examine the office of Lord Chancellor, and the Commission prepared a research note which is under review.
