Two young men from opposing sides of a long-running gang conflict in Laventille have publicly joined forces to promote peace.
And according to Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander, their reconciliation could mark the beginning of a “second chance” for communities battered by gang violence.
Kashif “K-Man” SanÂkar, 24, and Mescach “Plumpy Boss” EmmanÂuel, 29, appeared togethÂer yesterday at a back-to-school drive at Alexander’s Tunapuna constituency office where they publicly endorsed an end to the violence and called on young people to reject street lifestyle.
