PubĀlic UtilĀiĀties MinĀisĀter BarĀry Padarath has pushed back against comĀments by PeoĀpleās NaĀtionĀal MoveĀment (PNM) SenĀaĀtor Dr Amery Browne, who called on Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar to ācool itā and āmodĀerĀateā her lanĀguage folĀlowĀing reĀcent onĀline threats made against him.
In a stateĀment, Padarath said Dr Browne had misĀcharĀacĀterised the Prime MinĀisĀterās comĀments and unĀfairĀly atĀtemptĀed to link a priĀvate citĀiĀzen, now charged by law enĀforceĀment for isĀsuĀing viĀoĀlent threats, to her. He said that conĀnecĀtion was unĀfoundĀed and poĀlice have alĀready actĀed and due process is unĀderĀway.
Padarath alĀso acĀcused the OpĀpoĀsiĀtion of reĀpeatĀedĀly placĀing blame on the Prime MinĀisĀter reĀgardĀless of the facts.
