PubÂlic UtilÂiÂties MinÂisÂter BarÂry Padarath has pushed back against comÂments by PeoÂpleâs NaÂtionÂal MoveÂment (PNM) SenÂaÂtor Dr Amery Browne, who called on Prime MinÂisÂter KamÂla PerÂsad-BissesÂsar to âcool itâ and âmodÂerÂateâ her lanÂguage folÂlowÂing reÂcent onÂline threats made against him.
In a stateÂment, Padarath said Dr Browne had misÂcharÂacÂterised the Prime MinÂisÂterâs comÂments and unÂfairÂly atÂtemptÂed to link a priÂvate citÂiÂzen, now charged by law enÂforceÂment for isÂsuÂing viÂoÂlent threats, to her. He said that conÂnecÂtion was unÂfoundÂed and poÂlice have alÂready actÂed and due process is unÂderÂway.
Padarath alÂso acÂcused the OpÂpoÂsiÂtion of reÂpeatÂedÂly placÂing blame on the Prime MinÂisÂter reÂgardÂless of the facts.
