A Justice of the Peace has been granted bail in the sum of $400,000 after appearing in the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday on fraud-related charges.
He is 64-year-old Dudley Powell of Glencoe, Spalding in Clarendon.
Powell, who is also a businessman, is charged with cheating the public revenue, using an official seal for fraudulent purposes, and misconduct in public office.
