A 50-year-old busi­ness­man from Gold­en Grove, Canaan, has been fined $100,000 af­ter plead­ing guilty to firearm and am­mu­ni­tion charges at the Scar­bor­ough Mag­is­trates’ Court.

Nigel An­der­son ap­peared be­fore Se­nior Mag­is­trate Ali­cia Chankar on Thurs­day (March 19, 2026), where he ad­mit­ted to pos­sess­ing two re­volvers and twelve rounds of .38 am­mu­ni­tion.

The court heard that at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 3:25 am on De­cem­ber 14, 2020, of­fi­cers at­tached to the To­ba­go Di­vi­sion Task Force, led by WPC Sgt. Har­ris, ex­e­cut­ed a search war­rant at An­der­son’s home on Gold­en Grove Road, Canaan. Dur­ing the search, of­fi­cers found one re­volver and six rounds of .38 am­mu­ni­tion in a liv­ing room draw­er.
