A 50-year-old businessman from Golden Grove, Canaan, has been fined $100,000 after pleading guilty to firearm and ammunition charges at the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court.
Nigel Anderson appeared before Senior Magistrate Alicia Chankar on Thursday (March 19, 2026), where he admitted to possessing two revolvers and twelve rounds of .38 ammunition.
The court heard that at approximately 3:25 am on December 14, 2020, officers attached to the Tobago Division Task Force, led by WPC Sgt. Harris, executed a search warrant at Anderson’s home on Golden Grove Road, Canaan. During the search, officers found one revolver and six rounds of .38 ammunition in a living room drawer.
