A man who was attempting to assist a driver with parking at the Gulf City Mall was tragically killed after being struck by the same vehicle on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the car park outside Kappa Drugs, where the man, described by witnesses as acting as a Good Samaritan, was offering help to a motorist reversing into a parking space.
Police reports indicate that the driver, an employee of a business within the mall, was reversing the vehicle when it collided with the man who had been giving him directions.
