HUNDREDS of nursing and midwifery staff gathered around the Circular at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) yesterday to express their dissatisfaction with the way they are being treated as the impasse continues between the Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association (TTNNA) and North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) Chairman Dr Tim Gopeesingh.
One of the nurses who works at San Fernando General Hospital, Ria St John Acosta, spoke with members of the media about some of those issues.
She said that working under 2013 salaries had nurses “skating” through the month until their next salary arrived.
