A woman appeared before the court charged with obstruction of justice alongside a man who allegedly raped a ten-year-old child.
The woman whose name is being withheld to protect the child, and Shaffick Mohammed appeared jointly charged before master Delicia Bethelmy on Wednesday.
Mohammed, 32 a labourer from Woodland, was also charged with sexual penetration of a minor at his home. The offence allegedly occurred between November 18 and 22, 2024 after he brandished a knife. It was also alleged that he intentionally exposed a 14-year-old to pornography between August 1 and 31, 2024. She was allegedly shown the footage on his phone while at his home.
