Several persons were taken into custody following the discovery of two firearms with ammunition along Robb Street, Georgetown, on Friday.
The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) stated that officers, acting on intelligence received, went to the location, where they seized one Taurus TX22 semi-automatic pistol with 29 rounds of .22 LR ammunition and one round of 5.56 mm ammunition commonly used in AR-15 rifles.
However, during the raid, several persons who were at the premises were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters as investigations continued.
