Two men were ar­rest­ed and po­lice seized quan­ti­ties of nar­cotics and a weapon in the North East­ern and South­ern Di­vi­sions over the past 24 hours.

In the North East­ern Di­vi­sion, from 9:00 pm on Mon­day, of­fi­cers con­duct­ed a search in the Barataria Dis­trict, in­clud­ing Third Av­enue, Don Miguel Road, El So­cor­ro Main Road, Maraj Street, Park Street, and Jo­jo Lane.

Dur­ing the search a 47-year-old man from Mt. Lam­bert, was found in pos­ses­sion of 0.28 grams of co­caine, a smok­ing ap­pa­ra­tus, and a two-foot-long blade. The items were seized, and the sus­pect was ar­rest­ed. The man is al­so be­lieved to be a sus­pect in a wound­ing in­ci­dent on No­vem­ber 17, 2024, in which a vic­tim’s left wrist was sev­ered.
