A 29-year-old man was shot and killed dur­ing a rob­bery in the ear­ly hours of yes­ter­day dur­ing an in­ci­dent in Chi­nese Vil­lage, La Brea.

Po­lice said the shoot­ing of Shaquille Daniel oc­curred short­ly be­fore 2 am af­ter he went to in­ves­ti­gate a dis­tur­bance at a near­by prop­er­ty. He was lat­er found suf­fer­ing from gun­shot wounds and was pro­nounced dead at the scene.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, of­fi­cers of the La Brea Po­lice Sta­tion re­spond­ed around 2.25 am. On ar­rival, they met a wit­ness who told them she had been prepar­ing to close her busi­ness when she heard dogs bark­ing in her yard.
