Sudhir Ramessar, a lifelong advocate for the differently abled and President of the Trinidad and Tobago Paralympic Committee, has passed away at age 57.
Known in hometown Princes Town for his independence and strength, Ramessar was often seen wheeling himself from his home in Broomage No. 1 to his jewellery store, refusing assistance and earning respect both for his resilience and competitive spirit.
He later took on a full time position in the Public Service.
