The unoccupied home of a Moruga man who died one month ago was destroyed by fire on Monday night.
The blaze occurred around 11 pm at Penal Rock Road. A neighbour told police there was a sudden drop in voltage, followed by crackling sounds before the house caught fire. The structure was a single-storey, two-bedroom plywood house that had been fitted with electricity.
Police said the family had removed all appliances from the house after the man’s death.
