THE TOBAGO arm of Pan Trinbago has decided to boycott the upcoming Tobago Carnival over outstanding payment of $1.7 million from the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
Chairman of the Tobago regional executive Kadion Moore told the Express yesterday they are awaiting payment from the 2025 edition of Tobago Carnival. He reported the monies were for PanOmega, the island’s premier steelpan competition, and the Steelpan and Powder Parade.
“We have not been paid since 2025. We were paid half of the prizes and all appearance fees. It was about $1.1 million. The outstanding sum is $1.7 million,” he said.
