Corentyne man remanded over fatal stabbing of friend

(Kaieteur News) – Twenty-eight-year-old fisherman Videsh Singh was on Wednesday remanded to prison for the alleged murder of fellow fisherman Franklyn Sauers, 34, during a deadly confrontation at Albion Front, Corentyne, Berbice.
Singh, of Lot 71 Albion Front, made his first court appearance at the Reliance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tuana Hardy, where he was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
The charge alleged that on 6th September, 2026, in the county of Berbice, Singh unlawfully murdered Sauers, of Glasgow Housing Scheme, East Bank Berbice.
