CrysÂtal Bevin Ashe is the new presÂiÂdent of the Trinidad and ToÂbaÂgo UniÂfied TeachÂers’ AsÂsoÂciÂaÂtion (TTUTA), deÂfeatÂing inÂcumÂbent MarÂtin Lum Kin in elecÂtions held on TuesÂday, OcÂtoÂber 14, 2025.
Ashe, who repÂreÂsents the SecÂondary Schools InÂspecÂtorate (SSI), reÂceived 3,546 votes, ahead of Lum Kin’s 1,019. Randy Lall, RaÂjdeo MoÂhan, GerÂmaine RayÂmond, and AnÂderÂson Zoe were alÂso in the runÂning.
Nigel FiÂgaro was electÂed secÂond vice-presÂiÂdent with 4,395 votes, while BarÂry Joel DeÂsaine won the poÂsiÂtion of third vice-presÂiÂdent with 4,033.
