An investigation has been launched into allegations that a two-year-old child was beaten at a day care centre.
The investigation is being led by officers from the Child Protection Unit, Couva police, and relevant child welfare authorities.
In a statement yesterday, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Wayne Mystar said that due to the sensitive nature of the case and the child’s age, specific details cannot be disclosed at this stage to protect the privacy and well-being of those involved.
