Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing an in­ci­dent in which a tod­dler was al­leged­ly in­jured while at a day­care in Cen­tral Trinidad.

The child's moth­er re­port­ed­ly told po­lice that she picked up the tod­dler at the day­care in Cou­va late Mon­day and dis­cov­ered that the ba­by had swollen marks on the but­tocks, arms and legs, which ap­peared as though the child was beat­en.
