FORMER Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) chief executive officer Keino Cox is threatening legal action against the company, accusing its board of retaliating against him after he raised concerns about alleged corporate governance breaches.
In a pre-action protocol letter issued on Friday, Cox’s attorneys demanded that TSTT provide a substantive response within seven days or face legal action.
The letter, from RLM & Co, said Cox was placed on administrative leave with immediate effect and his appointment as acting CEO was not renewed despite what his lawyers described as “exceptional performance” during his 12 months in the position.
