Hours af­ter PNM po­lit­i­cal leader Dr Kei­th Row­ley re­signed, chair­man of the par­ty, Stu­art Young al­so ten­dered his res­ig­na­tion.

In a Face­book post, he said, “Af­ter re­flec­tion yes­ter­day, I have to­day, ten­dered my res­ig­na­tion as Chair­man of the Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment, ef­fec­tive im­me­di­ate­ly.”

It comes two days af­ter Young and the PNM sank to a ma­jor de­feat in the 2025 Gen­er­al Elec­tions. The UNC won 26 seats, the PNM won 13 and the TPP took the two To­ba­go seats.
