As the country prepares for two swearing-in proceedings involving a triumvirate of a woman prime minister and a woman opposition leader by a woman President, three men in the People’s National Movement (PNM) leadership resigned their respective positions yesterday.
Dr Keith Rowley resigned as political leader of the PNM, Stuart Young resigned as chairman of the PNM and Rohan Sinanan resigned as a deputy political leader of the PNM.
The resignations, as indeed the swearing-ins, come as a consequence of the 2025 general election which saw the PNM losing office.
