THE Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is reporting a significant reduction in violent and property crimes over the past year.
According to the latest statistics, violent crime has decreased by 33% compared to 2024.
Last year, there were 1,151 reported violent crimes; this year, that number has dropped to 773. Similarly, robberies have seen a steep decline from 622 in 2024 to 360 in 2025.
