Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar has orĀdered an imĀmeĀdiĀate stop to all fetes at the BriĀan Lara StaĀdiĀum, citĀing perĀsisĀtent comĀplaints from nearĀby resĀiĀdents about exĀcesĀsive noise.
In a post on X, the Prime MinĀisĀter said noise polĀluĀtion had beĀcome āunĀbearĀableā for those livĀing in the area. āNoise polĀluĀtion is a nuiĀsance. I inĀstructĀed that all fetes at the BriĀan Lara StaĀdiĀum be stopped as the noise has beĀcome unĀbearĀable for resĀiĀdents,ā she said.
PerĀsad-BissesĀsar said her GovĀernĀment reĀmains comĀmitĀted to tackĀling the longĀstandĀing isĀsue of noise polĀluĀtion and its efĀfects on comĀmuĀniĀties, notĀing that the probĀlem has been āigĀnored for far too long.ā
